Looking forward to Hospital Pharmacy Technician's meeting.
Clinical pharmacists on wards are commonplace, supporting the clinical team in ensuring medications are appropriately prescribed and monitored, especially in more complex patients. Add the increasing need to support advanced nurse practitioners, nurse prescribing and increasing levels of microbial stewardship, etc, clinical pharmacy more than ever is juggling the demands of more specialised care with greater accountability for medicines use and safety.
We look forward to joining a key group of pharmacy professionals – Pharmacy technicians at their annual meeting this weekend. These colleagues administer and manage formularies, procurement, sourcing and contracting for important medicine’s availability and use in Hospitals.
The annual meeting promises to be a great event enabling colleagues from across the country to learn, as well as providing industry an opportunity to engage with these important stakeholders in advancing the safest and most cost-effective use of medicines in secondary and tertiary care.
